Additional charges may apply for costs that are not included in the initial payment or confirmed contract terms, and only when the charge is supported by the Lease Agreement, Enkostay policy, prior agreement, or objective evidence.
Additional charges are not applied automatically. The reason for the charge, the requested amount, and the payment method must be confirmed before the charge can be processed.
1. Examples of Additional Charges
Additional charges may include the following:
Additional bedding rental
Additional bedding rental fees may apply if the Tenant requests or agrees to use bedding rental services that were not included in the original payment.
Tenant penalty
A tenant penalty may apply in cases such as early move-out or contract cancellation, in accordance with the Lease Agreement and applicable Enkostay policy.

Damage compensation
Damage compensation may be charged if damage, loss, or misuse of facilities, furniture, appliances, or other property items is confirmed.
Additional cleaning fees
Additional cleaning fees may apply if contamination, waste disposal, or cleaning requirements exceed the scope of normal use or the standard move-out cleaning fee.
Utility fees
Hosts may charge additional utility fees only if the contract or platform states that “additional charges may apply for excess usage”, and if actual usage exceeds the fixed utility fee.
2. Information Required for Additional Charge Requests
To process an additional charge, the following information is required:
- Reason for the charge
- Requested charge amount
- Payment method
Requests that do not include the required information may not be processed.
3. Payment Methods
There are two possible payment methods for additional charges:
Option 1. Direct settlement between Tenant and Host
The Tenant and Host may agree to settle the additional charge directly between themselves.
Please note that this option applies only to additional charges separately agreed between the parties. It does not replace Enkostay’s official payment and settlement process for rent, contract payments, or platform-managed transactions.
Option 2. Charge through EnkoStay
The additional charge may also be processed through Enkostay.
If the charge is processed through Enkostay, a 10% platform processing fee will apply. In addition, the paying party must have a payment method registered in their Enkostay account.
To register a payment method, please refer to the guide below:
- Payment Method Registration: [Payment Method Registration Guide Link]
4. Evidence Required for Damage or Excess Utility Charges
For damage compensation or excess utility fee charges, supporting documents are required to calculate and verify the requested amount.
Examples of supporting documents may include:
- Receipts
- Invoices
- Repair estimates
- Utility bills
- Usage records
- Photos or inspection records, if applicable
The charge will be reviewed and processed based on the submitted evidence and the confirmed amount.
Important Note
Additional charges must be based on the Lease Agreement, Enkostay policy, prior agreement between the Tenant and Host, or objective supporting evidence.
Charges that are not supported by sufficient reason, documentation, or applicable policy may not be processed.
